Talent Show

Welcome to the Art Week Events page!

The Art Week Talent show will occur on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025 from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM. The talent show will be hosted in an inviting banquet style set-up with catering. The talent show will conclude with voting for best acts. The top three winners will be announced at the conclusion of the talent show after voting by the audience.

Any talent is welcomed that can be performed as an act on stage ranging from musicians, singers, dancers, rappers, actors, comedians, poets, musicians, and more! We invite any ability level to attend. The audience is only open to undergraduate UCONN Stamford students.

Talent Show Parameters

  1. Sign-ups are due no later than Tuesday, February 18th at 11:59 PM. There are limited spots, you can request to be on a waitlist by emailing Brittney Ortiz at Brittney.ortiz@uconn.edu and will be notified if you will be able to perform due to cancellations.
  2. An act cannot exceed 5 minutes. If there is a special circumstance, please email Brittney Ortiz at Brittney.ortiz@uconn.edu and you may be accommodated depending upon number of sign-ups.
  3. Must be an active UCONN Stamford Undergraduate Student.
  4. Can be a solo or a group act.
  5. All acts must abide by our Sensitivity Clause.
  6. Voting is only available to audience members, including performers, at the talent show.
  7. Prizes will be given at the conclusion of voting with the announcement of the top 3 acts.
  8. Equipment we will provide: stage, microphone, lighting. We will be unable to provide instruments, props, and so forth. Please ensure you have all required materials for your acts. If you have any questions if a certain item can be provided contact brittney.ortiz@uconn.edu

Sensitivity Clause

Student(s) take responsibility for all actions of the group or individuals of said group act while performing at the Talent Show. No acts should be offensive to anyone. If any individual or group act is deemed offensive, further actions through the student conduct process may be deemed necessary.
