Fitness Sessions
We are excited to begin hosting weekly one hour fitness sessions to provide you the opportunity to engage in workouts led by professional fitness instructors conveniently located on campus! You can attend one or more sessions based upon your availability. Each fitness session can only accommodate up to 20 students.
Equipment
Student activities will provide you with the equipment you need for the fitness session(s) you signed up for. Equipment sign-out will take place at 202 Landing (windows located at the 202 Student Activities suite) 45 minutes prior to the beginning of the session. Equipment must be returned within 30 minutes at the conclusion of the fitness session at 202 Landing.
A student activities ambassador will sign-out equipment and verify you are registered to attend the fitness session.
Waitlist
There are only 20 spots available per fitness session. After the 20 spots are reserved, you can elect to be placed on a waitlist. If you are on the waitlist you are directed to wait in the 202 suite and will be able to attend if there is a no-show. Waitlist will be considered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Upon your arrival in the 202 suite let the ambassador know you are on the waitlist to record your order of arrival.

- Slide & Sculpt (Tuesdays 2:00pm - 3:00pm)
Fitness sessions occur weekly during the above indicated times beginning the week of September 8th. You can register for one or more. The first 4 weeks are free to attend, after the first 4 weeks there will be a small charge to reserve your spot beginning the week of October 6th.

Body Weight Build and Burn
Description
Tone, tighten, and sweat it out! Using bands and sliders, this circuit-style workout fires up your core, glutes, and full body for a fun, fast, and seriously effective session.
Held: Mondays 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM, location on-campus
Fitness Instructor Bio - Chris Wood
Every client I take on is a new opportunity for me to improve a lifestyle that will benefit that individual for the rest of their life.I struggled with weight issues most of my life but decided to stay consistently on track to keep the weight off and devote my life to fitness in 2011.
I have been training since 2014. In 2017 I attended the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI) where I received a certificate of exercise science.
I’m thrilled to be a part of the team at Beyond Fitness and looking forward to helping you reach your fitness goals!
Slide and Sculpt
Description
A high-energy workout that builds strength and burns fat using only your body weight. No equipment needed, just sweat, power, and results.
Held: Tuesdays 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM, 253 Schreiber Reading Room

Year Certified: 2019
I have previously competed in powerlifting and love all barbell movements. I prefer Muay Thai for cardio over running. A perfect day for me would be exploring outdoors with my fiancé, cameras, and a flat white latte. I have recently moved to the area so I am open to any recommendations!

Registration
Registration for each session is due the day before by 11:59 PM. Only the first 4 weeks of fitness sessions are free, following the 4th week beginning on October 6th there will be a small registration fee per fitness session you sign-up for.
If there are no more spots left for the session you would like to attend you can be placed on the waitlist by emailing Brittney Ortiz at brittney.ortiz@uconn.edu .
